Hello parents,
Today, we started our first Social Studies unit! We have already begun to reach these curriculum expectations through our reading and Religion units, and are now dedicating our time to Family and Community Traditions. We are looking at our Thanksgiving and Christmas traditions coming up, and will be studying communities and cultures around the world. We will be looking at traditions for our upcoming reading and writing projects, with a culminating project ahead of Christmas. We will also need your input for work later on in October, so stay tuned! You can access the Social Studies curriculum {HERE}

Hello parents!
Today was a day full of shape exploration and inquiry-based learning! We are studying polygons and standard 2-D shapes this week. We are sorting and classifying shapes this week, and we will be working further on their geometric attributes (sides (côtés), vertices (sommets), size, equal sides, etc.). Today, we challenged ourselves to imagine all the possibilities of a mystery shape with four sides (côtés), as well as a mystery shape with six vertices (sommets). We pushed ourselves to think of non-standard, common shapes and think outside the box with non-standard polygons (des polygones). The results were amazing!

Hello parents!
We are gearing up for our Terry Fox run tomorrow! Thank you to all who have supported this great cause! Even though our temperatures are dropping this week, we still highly recommend that students bring hats, water bottles, and comfortable clothing (especially running shoes).
You can find our class newsletter/ learning reflection page for this weekend {HERE}!
