Today we spent our morning watching a very informative presentation about bus safety, and we received some important information to take home to share everything we learned with adults. We had a fun afternoon today with Mrs. S., from St. Francis' Parish. We played a game to test our knowledge of the Ten Commandments, and we watched a video called "Johnny's Tears", to learn about the emotional costs of sins, and the "weight" we feel lifted through forgiveness.
We also got ready for one of our culminating tasks for our Global Communities unit. We spent last week reading letters from students in each continent, and now we are using that information in a creative writing piece. We are working on finding text evidence, and using it in our writing. We are also working on comparing and contrasting ways of life. We will complete our "Personnel de la Poste" tomorrow!
We are also working on self-evaluations throughout Term 2, and we will be tracking our successes and progress independently with this project. This will help us to be aware of our Success Criteria as we work in the future!
