Today, we were excited to get our hands on our newest addition to our class: Osmo! This game system attaches to our class iPad, which we can use to supplement and assess our French and Math learning. Here is a quick overview of the games we played today. You will see more at our upcoming Math Night in May!
This is the Numéros/Numbers game, where we can use dice tiles or numerical digit tiles to represent number totals in addition/subtraction/counting games. We use the dice tiles to create the number shown, and you can see what it looks like up on our big screen!
Finally here is the most popular game in our class: Newton! This is a problem solving skill game where we can use drawings on a white board, or our hands (as seen on the big screen below) to create pathways for objects aiming for a target. This gets our minds thinking quickly!
We look forward to showing you in the future how we use these and other tools to enhance our learning. Stay tuned!
